Larry James Griffis, age 67, of Jasper, FL. passed away at his home on Monday, July 23, 2018 following an illness of some time.

Larry was a native and longtime resident of Carrollton, Georgia. He was born on September 25, 1950 to the late Edmon and Bertha Hunt Griffis. As long as his health permitted, Larry was employed as a truck driver. He served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran.


Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wynn Griffis; his children, Jessica Hunter (Robert), Danielle Dickerson (Bryon), Amanda Weiher(Darren) and) Josh Griffis; his three sisters, Sarah Nelson, Barbara Clay and Carolyn Foster; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.
