Larry Gordon Henderson of Jasper, Florida passed away at the age of 71, battling cancer, on Monday August 28, 2023 at Concordia Villages of Tampa surrounded by close friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Allen Henderson and survived by his mother, Maxine Eldridge. He was a loving Daddy to his two daughters Lisa Brott (Glen), and Laura Hogue (Andrew). He was a beloved Grandpa Duck to his three grandchildren, Wyatt, Evelyn, and Sydney Hogue. He is survived by his four siblings, Dwayne Henderson, Lavonne Topper (Steve), Teresa Brooks (Darren), Paulette Badger, and a host of caring nieces and nephews.

He was born in Seattle, Washington on October 13, 1951 and moved to Brevard County in 1965. He graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1971. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he started his medical career as a medic. He attended Brevard Community College and graduated from The University of Florida as a Physician Assistant in 1983. He practiced medicine for 40 years in Hamilton County and surrounding areas.

His hobbies included golfing, carpentry, snow skiing, bowling, playing the drums, and winning at card games. He was a devoted Florida Gator fan. He loved to use his Donald Duck voice to brighten up any room. Our dad touched the lives of so many people. He was a healer, a teacher, and a best friend to many.

Funeral will be held at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens on US-1 Rockledge, Florida on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Open Visitation will be held from 11 to 1, followed by a 1pm service and burial.
