Andrew "Lavon" Musselwhite, age 71, of Lake Park, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at LifeLion Ministries in Valdosta, Georgia.
Lavon was born in Jasper, FL. on April 25, 1945 to the late Chandler and Ruby Bryan Musselwhite. Chandler died when Lavon was a young child and he was blessed to have had Herman Mobley step into his life. Lavon served his country in the United States Navy before becoming a millwright traveling all around the country on industrial construction jobs. He was preceded by his parents, Chandler, Ruby and Herman and a great granddaughter, MaKenna Musselwhite.
Survivors include his three daughters, Dawn Miller, Diane Merwin and Sheri Ford; two brothers, Don Musselwhite (Merlene) and Van Musselwhite; one sister, Barbara Yarborough; 10 grandchildren, Chris Musselwhite (Nicole), April Simpson (Jason), Richard Folsom, Alan Micheal Lester (Heather), Brooke, Delon and Brittany Moore, Kaitlynn and Kyle Ford, Hannah Hendrick and Summer Hughes; 10 great grandchildren; a host of friends that include special folks in his life, Teresa and Greg Hersick.
