Ledwith Bert Rogers, age 72, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital following an extended illness.
Rogers was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Winston James Rogers and Sara Elizabeth Bryan Rogers. His formative years were spent in Live Oak, FL. Rogers was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country during the Korean War before beginning his career in banking.
He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons, Winston and Joshua Rogers both of Jacksonville, FL.; two daughters, Katherine Ivie, Atlanta, GA. and Elizabeth DePeri, Jacksonville, FL.; one brother, William "Bill" Rogers, Jacksonville, FL.; three sisters, Jane Kemp, Macclenny, FL., Neve Fekke, Jacksonville, FL. and Dr. Melissa Young, Bethlehem, GA.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 31 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Live Oak, FL. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery.
