Lillie Mae Purdy, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at a community hospice. Mrs. Purdy was born on November 11, 1918 in Echols County, Georgia to the late James and Pinkie Johns Aldrich. She was a homemaker and member of Lane Avenue Church of God. Mrs. Purdy was preceded in death by her husband, George Purdy and a son, Fred Purdy.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Purdy, Jasper, FL. and Ronnie Purdy, Hilliard, FL.; three daughters, Annie Rivera, Jacksonville, Georgia Keast, Glen St. Mary, FL. and Glynda Hill, Jacksonville, FL.; one sister, Ollie A. Brooks, St. Augustine, FL.; 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 12th at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed in Hebron Cemetery near Jasper.
