Linda Joyce Harrell, age 71, of Jennings, FL. passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 surrounded by family at the home of her sister Jo.

Linda Joyce was born in Valdosta on August 17, 1947. She was the daughter of the late C.H. and Hazel Pollock Lee of Jennings. Linda Joyce lived in Jennings, FL. most of her life and worked publicly for a time at Winn Dixie and what is now Foodway. Linda was then called on as the favorite aunt to babysit more than one generation of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In her spare time Linda loved to cross-stitch, embroidery, can vegetables from her garden and quilt. She made some truly exquisite quilts. Many of these were given as gifts and are now treasures to those that were blessed enough to receive them. Linda was a member of Jennings Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, C. H. and Hazel, two sisters, Lillie Belle Strickland and Marie Lee; and two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Lee and Debbie Lee.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Darryl Bass of Statenville, GA.; her three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wendell and Darlene Lee of Lake Park, Raymond Lee of Valdosta, GA., and Mike Lee of Jasper, FL.; her brother-in-law, William Strickland; two aunts, Kitty Burnham and Betty Pollock; and her longtime friend and companion, Jimmy Fender. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 8, 2019 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Combass officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Baptist Church.
