IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Bembry
Lillibridge
October 13, 1956 – May 20, 2022
Linda Gail Bembry Lillibridge, of Jasper, FL. passed away at the age of 65 on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Community Hospice and Palliative Care in Jacksonville, FL.
Linda was a native of Jasper, FL. and was the daughter of the late Henry and Ocilla McDaniel Bembry. She grew up on the family farm in Jasper. Like many children her age, she worked in tobacco in the summer and learned the value of hard work and responsibility. Linda loved to fish…which she most likely got from her mother. As young children, she and her younger sister Brenda spent many days at various pond and lakes fishing with their mother who was an avid fisherman. Even though she was a "girl" she also loved to hunt. Linda attended Bright Pond Baptist Church as a child and teenager and confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ again before her passing. She took great pride in being a member of the Bembry family and as an adult, she was always present at the family reunions where she very much enjoyed reconnecting with her many cousins, aunts and uncles. She and her husband Jim lived in Palatka just prior to moving to Jacksonville in 1983 where she eventually went to work as payroll clerk for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. Living in Jacksonville afforded her the opportunity to enjoy the warm salty air at the beaches and this was definitely one of her favorite things to do. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved sister, Brenda Bembry Kohout and two brothers, Elwood Bembry and Clarence Bembry.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Lillibridge; her two sons, James Lillibridge and Tyler Lillibridge both of Jacksonville, FL.; her brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Susan Bembry; sister-in-law, Mary Bembry; five grandchildren, Emilie, Rhilee, and Brendan Lillibridge, Brody and Evie Holzapfel; the mother of her grandchildren Kelly Holzapfel and her husband Jesse, both of whom have been an invaluable source of strength during this difficult time.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. was in charge of arrangements.
