Linda Lee Wetherington, age 77, of Jasper, FL. passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 27, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Linda raced the clock and passed away just before the stroke of midnight so she could celebrate her birthday in heaven with the love of her life Odis. Linda was born November 28, 1942 in White Springs, FL. to the late I.J. and Bertie Thomas Lee. She worked for over 25 years at the Hamilton County Bank and knew everyone in town. Linda enjoyed riding horses and rode and supported the Hamilton County Riding Club as long as her health permitted. She came as a small package but had a big personality. Her smile could light up a room and a stare that could make you think she had a heart of stone but really, Linda would do anything she could to help you if you needed it. She was a woman fiercely protective of those that she loved. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Odis Wetherington in Jan. of 2012.

Survivors include her son, Adam Wetherington (Alivia); her daughters, Sandy Lieupo (Daniel), Barbara Linder (Leroy), Melissa Simpson (James), Ashley Turnage (Johnny) and Margaret "Lulu" Robinson (Todd); one brother, Donald Lee (Laverne); one sister, LaVerna Shaw; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Left to mourn her passing also is her close friend Mary Grubbs.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
