Lois Ann McKay Muilwyk, age 71, of Ontario, Canada passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of December 10, 2017.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church near Jennings, Florida.

Lois was by birth a Canadian Citizen, she lived her whole life in Canada but it could be said of Lois that in another life she was meant born to be Southern. It wasn't that she didn't love her native Canada by any means because she did, however, once she tasted Florida, she was sold.

Lois Ann was born on December 28, 1945 in Hamilton Township which is a rural township located in Northumberland County in central Ontario. In 1977 she met the love of her life, Cornelis "Casey" Muilwyk and soon thereafter married. Together they owned and operated Casey's Lime Service. If given a chance, she might boast of being the best driver the business ever had. Lois was small in stature but big in the personality department. She and Casey were successful in love and in business and after many years of hard work, granted themselves trips out of Canada into the deep south of Florida. For a number of years they traveled to the Tampa area and would stay for several weeks. Most recently, they found North Florida to be their desired second home. They found themselves enjoying the peaceful environment at McCulley Farms near Jennings and vowed to stay as long as they could each year. Lois enjoyed making handcrafted jewelry and found that she could even make a little spare change in selling it. She loved horses and the thrill of riding was in her blood. While the date and time of her passing could not be predicted, Lois was granted from above, her wish to die and be buried in the warm climate of Florida, a rebel til the very end. Rest in peace Lois.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 40 years, Cornelis "Casey" Muilwyk of Ontario, Canada and two brothers, Bill and Allen McKay.
