Loretta Lee Harris Swann, age 78, of Valdosta, GA., passed away at Langdale Hospice following a brief illness. Loretta was a native of Hamilton County, FL. born on October 27, 1939 to the late Wilbur Hubert and Minnie Lee Burnett Harris. She worked for the Division of Family and Children Services as a case worker until she retired. Loretta was a people person and enjoyed getting together with old friends and loved large family gatherings. She enjoyed attending church at Corinth Church near Lake Park as long as her health permitted. Her family laughingly reminiscences about her love of flowers and how they never made it to the flower bed. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, John David Swann, a brother, Buddy Harris and a sister, Jane Harris Richardson.

Survivors include her son, David Swann (Colleen), Valdosta; her two daughters, Dianne Swann Marcatos (Steve), Stockton, GA. and Deborah Swann Anderson (Randy), Valdosta, GA.; two sisters, Dorothy Harris Bennett, Lakeland, GA and Bobbie Ann Harris Hayes, Statenville, GA.; 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at Lovejoy Fellowship Church near Stockton, GA. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Lowndes County.
