Lori Ellen Crews Peace, 58, "Mama," a resident of Clinton, LA, died on Saturday, May 9, 2026. She was a native of Jasper, FL.
There was a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1 p.m. until memorial services at 3 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Glen Lafayette Peace, Sr.; one daughter, Haley LoRea Otis and husband Devin Otis of Kenner, LA; two sons: Glen Lafayette Peace Jr. of Lafayette, LA, and Jesse Dalton Peace of Clinton, LA; mother Earline Lorraine Dorman Crews and Frank Edward Shaw of Jasper, Florida; two brothers: Casey Shannon Crews of Jasper, Florida, and James Roy Crews Jr. and wife Shawna Crews of Spring Hill, Florida; Aunt Kristina McAller of Pennsylvania and Aunt Virginia Downed of Virginia; and three grandchildren: Noah Michael Phillips, Sophie Marie Phillips, and Bentley Joseph Otis.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Roy Crews; grandfather, Fred Iverson Dorman; and grandmother, Jessie Lorraine Dorman.
She served in the Marines during Operation Desert Storm, where she received the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal. She served seven years of active service and was promoted to the rank of sergeant before her honorable discharge.
She was the kind of lady who never met a stranger and would give the shirt off her back for anyone she met. Most of all, the most important thing in her life was her family and friends, whom she cared for deeply.
