Lorrie Lee Vann, 63, of Jasper, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida, knowing she was deeply loved by so many.
Lorrie was born in Tallahassee, Florida, to Tolbert John Vann III and Ella Janie Vann. She later made her home in Brandon, Florida, where she raised her daughter, Kristin Eder, and became a loving grandmother to her three grandchildren, Hayden, Kiley, and Carson. Her grandchildren lovingly called her “Nonnie,” a name that represented the special bond they shared.
In her later years, Lorrie returned to Jasper to be near her parents. She lovingly restored her home with the help of her parents and brother and took great pride in making it a special place for her family.
Lorrie worked in child care and had a natural gift for caring for others. She also spent many years helping care for her grandchildren. She had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, crafting, and working on projects around her home, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and making memories together.
Lorrie was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Jasper and treasured her church family and friends.
Lorrie is survived by her parents, Tolbert John Vann III and Ella Janie Vann of Jasper, Florida; her brother, John Vann IV of Jasper, Florida; her daughter, Kristin Eder of Brandon, Florida; and her beloved grandchildren, Hayden, Kiley, and Carson, of Brandon, Florida.
Lorrie will always be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, “Nonnie,” sister, and friend. The love she gave and the memories she made will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Jasper, Florida, on September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Lorrie’s memory may send flowers to First Baptist Church of Jasper or make a donation to the church in her honor.
