Louise B. Staten, age 89, of Statenville, Georgia passed away Tuesday morning, November 19, 2013 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, FL., following an illness of some time.

Graveside services were held Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Staten Cemetery in Echols County.

Louise was born September 25, 1924 to the late Edward and Maude Belote Beech.
She was a lifelong resident of Echols County. Louise was a homemaker and helpmate to her husband, Walter James Staten, until his death in 1995. Also preceding her in death was an infant son, Walter James Staten, Jr. She was a strong "Southern Lady" who was more than capable of taking care of business following the death of her husband. She was active in her community where the family heritage was rich and she was comfortable in the role as family matriarch. Louise was an active member of Statenville Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Her death will most certainly leave a void in the community.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Sue Staten of Statenville, GA; one grandson, Dee and his wife Tenna Staten, also of Statenville; two great grandchildren, Anslee and J.D. Staten.
