Retired Lt. Col. Frank S. Ramsey, age 79, of Merritt Island, FL. passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013 at his home. Mr. Ramsey was born in Perrin, Texas on Sept. 16, 1933 to the late Hebert and Lillie Heath Ramsey. He had a long and successful career in the United States Air Force as a tactical fighter pilot. Through determination and hard work he was elevated in rank to Lt. Colonel before retiring. He was predeceased by his lovely wife, Clysta Elaine Deas Ramsey in January of 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Donald F. Ramsey and Mark S. Ramsey, both of Merritt Island, FL.; two sisters also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 16, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. with Rev. Wayne Anthony officiating. Interment followed at Burnham Church Cemetery with full military honors.
