Lucille Myra Brown, a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 97. Born on March 1, 1927, in Mills Creek, FL, Lucille was the beloved daughter of James and Bertha Fouraker.
Lucille dedicated 35 years of her life to caring for the children of her community through her in-home daycare in Jasper. Her nurturing spirit and genuine love for children touched the lives of countless families. Lucille's commitment to providing a safe and loving environment for these children was a testament to her selflessness and compassion.
Lucille is survived by her son, Melvin Brown of Jasper, FL; her daughters, Patricia Myra Brown of Jasper, FL and Margaret Erixton (Bill) of White Springs, FL; her sister, Alma Bembry of North Carolina; her grandchildren: Philip Brown (Kathy) of Jefferson, GA, Davi Anna Smith of Lake City, FL, Travis Erixton of White Springs, FL; and her great-grandchildren, Annabelle Brown, Landon Brown, Owen Brown, and Lincoln Brown.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Houston Brown; her sisters: Frances Baker, Dorothy Westberry, and Marjorie Westberry; and her brothers: Richard Fouraker, Walter Fouraker, and Rodney Fouraker.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lucille will be held at Bright Pond Baptist Church on Thursday, March 21st, at 3:00 p.m., with a time of visitation just before at 2:00 p.m. Lucille's memory will be honored and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
