Mabel Josephine Wyant Jones, age 93, of Jasper, FL. passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Shands Lake Shore in Lake City, FL. following an illness of some time. Mrs. Jones was born in Princeton, West Virginia to the late John and Myrtle Wyant. Mabel was a homemaker, an active member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary as long as her health permitted and was faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert A. Jones.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph Jones (Annette), Wewahitchka, FL. and Raymond Jones (Diane), Harrison, GA.; three daughters, Addie Mae Smith, Jasper, FL., Evelyn Smith (Franklin), all of Jasper, FL. and Lois Latham (Jerry Latham Sr.), Belleview, FL.; one brother, Wayne Wyant (Ann), Bartow, FL.; one sister, Mary Price of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Jasper with Pastor Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper.
