Margaret Patricia "Peggy" McCall McCormick of Jasper, FL. passed away September 22, 2015 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. following a brief illness. She was born in Lake City, Florida to the late C. C. McCall and his wife Margaret Dunn McCall. Peggy graduated from Jasper High School and received her BS Degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University. She taught school in the public school system for many years.  Peggy also worked for the State of Florida at the Florida Welcome Center several years during summer break.  Peggy was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority at FSU and served as president of her chapter in her last year there. She was a Florida State Seminole through and through and was a longtime contributing booster member. Peggy was also a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Sorority.

In addition to her many years teaching school, Peggy was  an accomplished musician and taught piano and organ lessons for a number of years. She was a faithful member of Jasper First Presbyterian Church in Jasper, Florida and was recently honored for her many years of service with a certificate stating "39 years of service and holding". Her dedication will not soon be forgotten.

Survivors include her husband of forty one years, John H. McCormick, former County Judge and prominent Attorney of Jasper, FL. and a nephew, Justice Terry McCall of the Texas Judicial System.

Graveside services were held  on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Sandra Hedrick officiating.
