A memorial service will be held @ 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church in Jennings, FL. where she was a longtime member.

Ms. Tuten passed away on June 18, 2016 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center at the age of 101.

Margaret was a native of Jennings, FL. She was born on September 24, 1914, the second of ten children born to the late James Albert Scaff and Nora Ella Glenn Scaff. She later married William Robert Tuten, Jr. and together they owned and operated Tuten's Grocery Store in Jennings.


Survivors include her son, William Robert Tuten, III and his wife, Giselinde of Alexandria, VA.; her daughter, Diann Tuten Vaughn of New Braunfels, Texas; one sister, Nora Evelyn Caldwell of Gainesville, FL.; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
