Margaret Viola Wimmer, age 92, of Jennings, FL. passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, David Eulis Wimmer, her parents, Oliver and Cannie Keen, her son-in-law, Gilmer E. Monk Jr. "Gene", her brother, Willie Keen, her sisters, Beatrice Hagerman, Dorothy Lambert, Nancy Wimmer, Rosa James and one great-great grandchild, Winslon Eve Monk.

Survivors include her two children, David R. Wimmer and Margaret G. Monk, both of Jennings, FL.; two grandchildren, Gilmer E. Monk, III  and his wife Melisa of Beltone, TX and Clarissa M. Chambers and her husband William of North Tazewell, VA; four great grandchildren, Christopher Chambers and his wife Shauna of Tazewell, VA., Zachary Chambers and his wife Tabby of North Tazewell, VA., Cody Monk and his wife Kristan of Troy, TX., Amber Monk Hoffan and her husband  Austin of Austin, TX.; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Viola was an avid gardener and loved working in her flowers. Her knowledge of mountain life that she has passed down to so many will be precious memories to those who knew and loved her.

Harry T. Reid Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. There will be local service.
