Marilyn Bridges Sabin, age 80, of Jasper, FL. passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 in Tallahassee, FL. Marilyn was born in Quitman, GA. on September 4, 1930 to the late Jasper Thomas Bridges Sr. and Addie Belle Ganas Bridges. She made her home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. before returning to her childhood roots in Jasper in 1976. Ms. Sabin was an accomplished musician and served as pianist and organist for almost 30 years at First Baptist Church in Jasper where she was a faithful member. Marilyn loved her family and was proud of her heritage. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jasper Thomas "Tom" Bridges, Jr. and her beloved sisters, Virginia Bridges Chandler and Janice Bridges Dupree.

Survivors include her son, Charlie Sabin, Stuart, FL.; one daughter, Sheila Sabin, Valdosta, GA.; and her three granddaughters, Melissa S. Serra, Sarah S. Butcher and Natalie Sabin.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 9, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Jasper, FL. with Pastor Roger Hutto officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA.
