Marjorie Jean Bohanon, age 87, of Statenville, GA 31648 passed away at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta, GA. following an extended illness.

Marjorie was a native of Lakeland, GA. born on March 19, 1934 to the late Noah and Beulah Carter Bennett. Marjorie worked for many years at Bayliner as a seamstress but her passion was looking after her grandchildren even now when they are grown and gone. She enjoyed all things outdoors especially gardening and watching her birds at the birdfeeders she lovingly placed. Marjorie was a member of Jennings Missionary Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband Ewell Bohanon in September of 1987.

Survivors include her three daughters, Florica Beck of Statenville, GA., Linda West (Hugh) of Valdosta, GA. and Noralene James of Statenville, GA.; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church in Jennings, FL.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Statenville Cemetery in Statenville, GA.
