Mark James Bentley, age 53, of Statenville, Georgia passed away at his home surrounded by his family the morning of January 9, 2012. Mr. Bentley was a native of Rochester, New York and was a former resident of Apopka, FL. where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mark was known in the local community as "Bentley" or "The Chicken Man". He had a winning way with people and especially children and teenagers. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Debbie Death, Statenville, GA.; one son, Mark Bentley, Perry, FL.; two daughters, Catherine Bentley, Perry, FL. and Jennifer Bentley, of Virginia; a step-son, Joseph Cordess, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, April Teilakh, Statenville and Sandy Shelton of Texas; two brothers, Jake Bentley, Madison, FL. and Chris Bentley, Apopka, FL.; one sister, Kimberley Bentley, Apopka, FL.; two grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at his home in Statenville, Friday, January 13, 2012.
Per his wishes, Mr. Bentley will be cremated.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. was in charge of his immediate arrangements.
