Martha Nell Smith Baker, age 73, of Jasper, FL. passed away at Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, FL. following a recent fall. Martha Nell a native of Jasper. She was born on October 23, 1945 to the late John Timothy (Sr.) and Mantha Margarette Smith. It is believable that Martha was born with a smile on her face because she wore that smile her entire life. She was blessed with outward beauty but more importantly she lived with an inward beauty that she was willing to share with anyone that would listen. Jesus was on her lips at all times and she was always willing to share her testimony. Martha was blessed in a late life marriage to Theodore Daniel Baker, a man she loved til her last breath. Life was not always happy because over time she had to bury three of her children, Anthony McGauley, Clint Taylor and Lori Ann McGauley and one sister, Gail Newsome.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Theodore "Ted" Baker of Jasper; two sons, Lee McGauley (Cindy), Live Oak, FL. and Chris McGauley (Vicki) of Jasper, FL.; her daughter, Cheryl McGauley, Jasper, FL.; two brothers, Jimmy Smith (Terri) of Crawfordville, FL. and Timmy Smith (Christy), Lake Park, GA.; two sisters, Ferrice Fry (Albert) and Mantha Young (Rick), all of Jasper; three grandchildren, Cody Honcoop, Brock McGauley and Jeremiah McGauley; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Harvest Fellowship Church in Jasper.

Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery.
