Mary Virginia Best, age 86, of Jasper, FL. passed away on May 15, 2022 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper where she made her home for the last several years. Mary adjusted well to the move from home to the nursing home mainly because she did not want to be a burden to her children and she knew she could no longer take care of herself at home. Before having to make that move, she was very active and enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going on her first cruise and spending time at the beach. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Pam Stephens and Brenda Harvey.

Survivors include four sons, Pat Harvey, Jasper, FL., Richard Harvey, Branford, FL., Daryl Harvey, White Springs, FL. and Rodney "Jay" Harvey and his wife Nora of Lake City, FL.; her daughter, Janice Harvey of Jasper, FL.; two brothers, Richard L. Best, Jr. of New York and Michael Best of Maryland; two sisters, Linda Campbell of New York and Helen Barber of Maryland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.

Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. was in charge of arrangements.
