Mary Lucille "Mary Lou" Terrell Corbett, of Echols County, GA. passed away at her home on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 87.
Mary was born in Quitman, GA. on January 1, 1934 to the late L.J. and Effie Watson Terrell. She was a homemaker most of her life. Mary loved to have her family in and cook. It was never snack foods, it was always a full meal and lots of it. She enjoyed a good flea market and a day of shopping but more than anything, she loved a good band and a night of dancing. Before she lost her husband Marvin, they enjoyed spending the weekends camping. Mary was a tiny but she was a fireball. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin and daughter Mary Stratton "Punkin".
Survivors include her two sons, Wilbur J. Poore (Gaye) Echols County, GA., William O. Poore, Baker County, FL.; one daughter, Shelbra Vann (Robert) Echols County, GA.; three brothers, Layton Terrell, Leonard Terrell and Bobby Jack Terrell, all of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Sally Peavy, Tifton, GA.; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Cemetery in Echols County.
The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Mary Corbett on Saturday evening and Sunday evening.
