Mrs. Mary Evelyn Curry, age 73, passed away in Jennings, Florida on February 16, 2017.
Graveside services were held Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Waters Memorial Gardens in Steinhatchee, Florida.
Mrs. Curry was born in Bonifay, Florida and had lived most of her early childhood there before moving to Pahokee, Florida where she finished school. She married Bill Curry in 1960 in Ft. Myers, Florida. They moved to Madison, Florida in 1975 where she was a longtime resident.
Mrs. Curry was Co-Manager of the Suwannee Swifty store in Madison, and she was employed by the Madison County School District as a school bus driver. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She loved sewing and gardening, and she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Flora Whitaker, and by her husband, William "Bill" Curry.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Curry (Tammi), Jennings, FL. and Allen Curry of Elwood Victoria (Australia); one daughter, Renee Benson (Destin); nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; two sisters, Imogene Castillo, Jennings, Fl., and Sue Pugh of Evergreen, Alabama. She is also survived by her finance, Russell Moody of Jasper, Florida.
Arrangements were under the care of Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Florida.
