Mary Kathryn "Kitty" Scaff, age 80, of Jennings, FL. passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL. following a brief illness. Kitty was a native of Hamilton County, FL. and lived in the Jennings area most all of her life. She was born February 26, 1935 to the late Leon and Grace Tyre Scaff. For many years she served as a postal clerk before becoming Postmaster at the Jennings Post Office. Kitty was an accomplished pianist and served as church pianist for a number of years at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Allen Scaff and a brother-in-law, Aubrey Young.

Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Beck; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Missy Beck; her former son-in-law who always remained a part of her family, Jimmy Dale Pittman; two sisters, Joanne Young and Ellen Deas (Jon), all of Jennings, FL.; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services were held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rusty Fennell officiating.
