Mary Katherine Lee, age 82, of White Springs, FL. passed away on August 29, 2020 at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City following a brief illness. While death is viewed primarily as a sad time in a family's life, the passing of Mary Katherine was a joyous moment in time. After months of not being able to visit in person they had beautiful hours where they were able to hold her hand, sing to her and read passages of scripture that lead her right to the gates of heaven where she was received into the open arms of Jesus. There was crying but there was joy as is promised in the Bible.

Mary Katherine was born on February 12, 1938 to the late Marcus and Arbena Pittman Brantley. She was a homemaker and grandmother to all. Mary Katherine loved her family and always welcomed the children and grandchildren whenever they could come and gather at the house for a good time. She was a helpmate to her husband Ollie Douglas Lee until his passing in March of 2017. She was also preceded in death by her brother Charles Brantley. Mary Katherine was a member of Suwannee Station Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Angie Lee, White Springs, FL. and Mike and Jennifer Lee of Lake City, FL.; her brother, Bill Brantley; her two sisters, Barbara Park and Delores Greene; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Due to Covid restrictions, the family requested graveside services with social distancing for the comfort and well-being of others that loved Mary Katherine. Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020 at Suwannee Station Baptist Church Cemetery in Suwannee County.
