Mary Lou Smith McIntosh, age 96, of Dowling Park, FL. passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park. Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her husband, Frank McIntosh, a son, Wilton McIntosh, a daughter, Linda Smith, seven brothers and a sister. She was the last living child of John Addie and Martha Holton Smith and was born in Hamilton County on September 19, 1915. Mrs. McIntosh retired in 1977 from Hamilton County Memorial Hospital where she worked as a nursing assistant.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Peacock, Valdosta, GA., Judy Hodge (Dan), Greenwood, S.C., and Alisa Staats, Dowling Park, FL.; daughter- in- law, Noreen McIntosh, Herndon, VA.; son-in-law, Vaughn Smith, Knoxville, TN.; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 20, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. with her son-in-law Minister Don Hodge officiating.
Private interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper.
