Mary Alice Sweat, age 90, of White Springs, FL, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at The Health Center of Lake City, FL. A native of Hamilton County, Mrs. Sweat resided in Jacksonville Beach, FL for forty years before returning to White Springs eight years ago. Mrs. Sweat was happily married to her husband, Dorsey, for 65 years. Being of the Baptist faith, Mrs. Sweat was a proud member of First Baptist Church of White Springs and a former member of Ocean Park Baptist Church in Jacksonville Beach.

Survivors include her husband, Dorsey W. Sweat, of White Springs; three sisters, Evelyn Stormant, Alma B. Sweat, both of White Springs, and Carrie Brown, of Lake City, FL; two brothers-in-law, Val Sweat. of White Springs and A.J. Sweat, of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 at First Baptist Church of White Springs, with Rev. Tommy Lindsey and Rev. Brandon Witt officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, FL.
