Obituary

Maxine Glenn Sullivan, 95, of Jennings, FL, passed away on November 24, 2024, after a long and beautiful life dedicated to family, faith, and love. Born on August 24, 1929, in Lake Garfield, FL, to Matthew and Effie Glenn, Maxine was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose life was a testament to grace and kindness.

Maxine married Garrard J. Sullivan, the love of her life, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years before his passing in 2008. In December of 1984, they moved to Hamilton County, where they became active members of Burnham Christian Church in Jennings, FL. Maxine found great joy in attending services there as well as cooking for her family and friends.  She could also be found sewing, gardening, and fishing, hobbies that reflected her warm and loving spirit.

Maxine is survived by her son, Wade Glenn Sullivan of Jennings, FL; her daughter, Lynn Chappell (Randy), of Perry, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garrard, her brothers, Howard Glenn and Edward Glenn, and her sister, Evelyn McCoy.

A funeral service to honor Maxine's life will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Burnham Christian Church in Jennings, FL at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Maxine's memory to Burnham Christian Church.

Maxine's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will forever be treasured by her family and all who were blessed to know her. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Garrard, and at peace in the arms of the Lord
