This obituary has been been added to our website as a courtesy to the Adicks Family. Many of you went to school with Mike here in Jasper. Others knew his parents Mr. Gene and Mrs. Helen Adicks or his sister, Gail Adicks Harrison. The Adicks Family meant a lot to the people in Hamilton County. Our prayers are with his wife Eleanor, his children and his sister, Gail.

Michael "Mike" Eugene Adicks, 79, passed away on March 16 after a short illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mike was born in Jasper, Florida to the late Helen and Eugene Adicks. He is also predeceased by his first wife of 45 years, Linda DeShazo Adicks.
In 2005, after over 40 years as a banker, his lifelong dream of retiring to the mountains became a reality, living his final years in Dunlap, Tennessee. A man of strength and integrity, he faced life with resolve and humor, and would like to be remembered more with laughter than tears.

He is survived by wife Eleanor, son and daughter-in-law Kent and Elizabeth Adicks, son and daughter-in-law Kyle and Heather Adicks, daughter Lori Adicks, step sons Dave Whitlock and the family of the late Chris Whitlock; wife Hilde, grandchildren Jordan and Jason Adicks, Zoe, Willow, Katherine, Kassie, and Jay Whitlock, and sister Gail Harrison.
