Mr. Michael Terry Wilson, age 70, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, May 27, in the North Florida Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida.

Mr. Wilson was born in Richmond, Virginia and resided in Lakeland, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1980. He worked as a mining engineer for over 40 years until his retirement in 2014 from PCS, White Springs, Florida. He held a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Florida and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane E. Wilson of Lake City, Florida; two daughters, Jessica (Scott) Cassady of Lake City, Florida and Teresa Marie Wilson of Ocala, Florida; two sons, Christopher Travis Wilson residing in Mexico City, Mexico and David Anthony Wilson of Lake City, Florida; three grandchildren, Darien Amory Wilson, Jacob Andre Cassady and Caiden Brooks Cassady; one sister, Lee Yancey Kaiser of St. Petersburg, Florida; two brothers, Ceals (Glenda) Yancey of Illinois and Roy (Jan) Yancey of Jasper, Florida.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
