Mildred Gracie Floyd, age 96, of Jasper, FL. passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper following an illness of some time.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in White Springs, FL. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery in White Springs.



Mildred was a native of Jacksonville Beach, FL. born March 1, 1921 to the late John Henry and Winifred Sweat Hickman. She married Charles Floyd and together they owned and operated Charles Floyd Refrigeration in Jacksonville. Following their retirement, they moved to White Springs, FL. to be closer to their daughters. Ms. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband Charles in October of 2008. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in White Springs as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Charleen Bembry and her husband, Irvin C. "Bo" Bembry and Martha Fultz and her husband Chuck Fultz, all of Jasper, FL.; one sister, Bernice LeBlanc of Tampa, FL.; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
