Obituary

Mildred Hall Malone, age 96, of Jacksonville, FL. passed away June 15, 2014 at Specialty Hospital in Jacksonville. Mildred was born in Wilmington, N.C. on May 15, 1918 to the late Carl and Maggie Hall. She was a former resident of Jasper, FL. When World War II started her husband went to serve in the Seabees in the South Pacific and in an effort to support her family she went to work at the shipyard in Wilmington building Liberty Ships. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed cooking traditional holiday dinners for her family. Mildred was a longtime member of Jasper Advent Christian Church. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, John H. Malone.

Survivors include one son, John W. Malone and his wife Charlotte and a daughter, Linda S. Malone, all of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, John G. Malone and his wife Jennifer, her granddaughter, Linda "Rain" Malone and a great granddaughter, Delta Rain Mangieri. Many cousins and friends also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
