Mildred J. Wynn Smith, age 81, of Jennings, FL. passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper, FL. following a brief illness. The Hamilton County native and lifelong resident was retired from Levi Strauss & Co. in Valdosta, GA where she was a seamstress for 28 years. She was a member of West Lake Church of God near Jennings. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Remmer Smith.

Survivors include one son, Delmer Smith (Judy), of Jennings, FL.; one daughter, Linda Wetherington (Curtis), Jennings, FL.; two sisters, Hazel Waters and Mabel Howard, both of Jacksonville, FL.; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at West Lake Church of God with Pastor Ralph Dillard officiating.
Interment followed in West Lake Cemetery.
