Mitchell Eugene Billups, age 63, of Jasper, FL. passed away at Suwannee Health and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.

Mitchell was a longtime resident of Ocala, Fl. where he was a law enforcement officer for over 30 years. Upon leaving the department, Mitchell and his wife Inez "Susie" moved to Jasper to be closer to her family.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Inez "Susie" Billups; two sons, Jerry B. Billups and Michael Billups; two brothers, Steven Billups and Kirby Billups; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
