On February 20, 2024, at the age of 77, Mollie Juanice Mathis, beloved wife, mother, grandmother ("Nanny"), sister, and friend, left us with hearts full of memories and gratitude for the joy she brought into our lives.

Long known for her fun personality and her sense of humor, Mollie was a beacon of warmth and laughter that touched those around her.

Born on July 6, 1946, in the small town of Jasper, FL, to Daniel and Edith Dunaway, Mollie found delight in life's simple moments, whether it was hunting for treasures at yard sales, cooking unforgettable meals in the kitchen, enjoying a day of fishing on the Suwannee River, or simply sitting and visiting with family and friends.

Mollie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronnie Mathis and her son, Baby Boy Parrish. We find comfort in the belief that they are sharing a beautiful reunion in heaven, surrounded by eternal joy and peace.

Mollie's legacy of love and warmth continues through her daughters, Laura Sikes (John) of Palatka, FL, and Emily Rollins (Harley) of Interlachen, FL, her siblings: Wayne Dunaway (Delores), Danny Ray Dunaway (Cherryl), Richard Dunaway (MaryKay), Frances Love (John), Tommie Sue Lanier, Karen Gonzalez, and Janie Spivey, as well as her four grandchildren: Harley Rollins, Jr., Felicia Cahan, Vanessa Vought, and Joshua Rollins, and her 12 great-grandchildren: Ann-Marie, Gunner, Adelynn, Aubrey, Emmarie, Addison, Sophie, Claire, Quinn, Gavin, Reagan, and Rhett, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her loyal dog, UGA, who was a constant source of comfort and companionship.

Mollie will forever be remembered for her joyful laugh and her fervor for life.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Mollie's life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m. We invite all who knew and loved Mollie to join us.
