Morgan Elizabeth West, of Lake City, FL. passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 at the age of 37.

Morgan was born in Gainesville, FL. on December 13, 1985 to the late Robert West and Athena Morgan Smith.

Some people joke about their lives and say its a circus around here, well for Morgan, it literally was a circus. She worked in the traveling carnival business and that suited her just fine. Life for Morgan was not always an easy one but she endured it doing life like the song, "I did It My Way". Morgan loved animals of all kinds but horses touched her heart the most. She always had her hair and make-up done but whether it was silly or serious had to be determined by the eye of the beholder. It was never really clear, but that was Morgan. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert West.

Sadness abounds for those that are left behind and words are seldom enough.

To Lani her daughter, you may remember these words when you think of your mother. Words of an Unknown Author- "As long as I can, I will look at this world for both of us, as long as I can, I will laugh with the birds, I will sing with the flowers, and I will pray to the heavens, for both of us."

To parents Walter and Theenie Smith, her sister and brothers and grandparents, remember the words of another Unknown Author- "The object is not to forget, but to REMEMBER to go on."

Morgan is gone from your sight, but never from your heart.

Survivors include her daughter, Lani Beltran of Branford; her parents, Walter and Theenie Smith also of Branford; her sister, Ashley Butler and her husband Ryan of Live Oak, FL.; her two brothers, Jay Smith and his wife Rebecca of McAlpin and Tucker Smith and his wife Kari of High Springs, FL.; also surviving are grandparents, Ruth and Jim Self of Lake City, FL. and Walter Smith, Sr. of Branford.

Private memorial services will be held for Morgan.
