Muriel P. Stewart, age 84, of Jasper, FL. passed away late on Monday evening, May 29, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Gainesvillle, FL.


Ms. Stewart was a native and lifelong resident of Hamilton County, FL. she worked for the Hamilton County School Board as assistant manager in the cafeteria at Hamilton County High School and as manager of North Hamilton Elementary. She knew all of the students and was loved by everyone who knew her. Ms. Stewart was a member of Jasper Assembly of God Church and attended there as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret Lister (Joe Orchard) and Irene Richardson (Walter); her son, Jerry McCoy; three grandchildren, Hope Swift (Michael), Joseph Richardson (Stacy) and Jerry McCoy; five great grandchildren, Nathan, Carrie, James, Mikayla and Malachi.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL .
