Myra Sue Lehman, 73, of Jasper, Florida, passed away on November 12, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 20, 1951, in Jasper, she was the cherished daughter of Sumter and Loye Smith.
Myra devoted 22 years of her life as a rural postal carrier, earning the respect and admiration of her community. Beyond her work, she found joy in life's everyday blessings. She had a gift for gardening, tending to her flowers with care, and a keenness for cooking and baking that brought family and friends together. Myra also loved the peacefulness and splendor of the beach. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She lived for the moments spent creating cherished memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Myra is survived by her devoted husband, David Lehman; her sons, Joshua Wisenbaker (Cheryl) of Nashville, GA, Adam Wisenbaker (Courtney) of Lake Park, GA, Mitch Lehman (Heather) of Jacksonville, FL, and Troy Lehman of Jennings, FL; and her daughters, Sarah Stone (Gabe) of Navarre, FL, and Dawn Pittman (Jamie) of Jennings, FL. She is also survived by her siblings, Philip Smith (Judy), Donald Smith (Joyce), and Betty Knight.
Myra's legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Savannah Lehman, Chelsea Snyder, Taylor Damon, Shane Pittman, Allen Lehman, Andrew Stone, Aubrey Wisenbaker, Jaxson Wisenbaker, Melanie Macias, and Sophia Macias, as well as her five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sumter and Loye Smith, and her brother, Herman Smith (Irma).
A graveside service will be held to honor Myra's life on Monday, November 18, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Hamilton County at 11:00 a.m. Myra's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
