Obituary
Myrtle Barrett Herndon, age 82, Monticello, FL. passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, FL. following an illness of some time. Myrtle was born May 12, 1928 to the late William and Floria Anderson Barrett. She was the manager of Van H. Priest Dime Store in Madison for many years. Mrs. Herndon was a member of Olive Baptist Church in Monticello.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Linda Dell of Ohio; one brother, George A. Barrett, Crawfordville, FL.; one sister, Marjorie Mills, Whigham, GA.; one step granddaughter.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Olive Baptist Church in Monticello, FL.
Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday afternoon at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd
Tallahassee, FL. 32308 or to Olive Baptist Church.
