Nancy "Phyllis" Rhoden Lewis, 85, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024. She was known for her warm heart, her love for her family, and her dedication to helping others.
Phyllis was born in the Facil area of Hamilton County, FL in 1938 to Mac Boyd and Elizabeth Fouraker. At the age of 18, she ventured out into the world but eventually found her way back home in the late 90s. During her time in Hamilton County, Phyllis was an active member of the Nazarene Church in Facil, where she found solace and community in her faith.
Phyllis had a passion for cooking, and her delicious meals were a source of joy for her family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, spending peaceful hours by the water, and sharing her love for the outdoors with those she cared about.
Her legacy lives on through her son, Stan Rhoden, her sisters, Mildred Miller and Linda Waldron, her cherished grandchildren, Adam Rhoden and Amy Sellers, and her beloved great-grandchildren, Emory and Adleigh. Phyllis also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember her kindness and the love she shared with them.
A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis' life will be held on Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, Florida, at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation just before the service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.
Phyllis touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and caring nature. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
