Nora Elizabeth "Kitty" Burnham Morgan, age 75, of Jasper, FL. passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her home following an illness of some time.
Kitty was born September 28, 1942 in Hamilton County, Florida to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Avriett Burnham. When Kitty became a mother, she made the conscious decision to be a stay at home mom so that she could be there for her children. It made a difference in their lives and they remember her fondly as the loving mother that she was. After the children were up and out of the house, Kitty decided to go to work and found that she enjoyed working with the public. She had excellent communication skills and never met a stranger and so she was always an asset to her employers. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Burnham and Elizabeth Burnham Barrett, her sister, Barbara "Babs" Auman, a nephew, Clayton Auman and a niece, Patty Burnham.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Bobby Joe Morgan, Jasper, FL.; two sons. Johnny Dickerson, Wilmington, N.C. and William "Billy" Dickerson, McDonough, GA.; one daughter, Tammy E. Dickerson, Covington, GA.; her brother, Lawrence "Larry" Burnham, Lake City, FL.; two sisters, Peggy Conner, Sanderson, FL. and Elaine Floyd, Newland, N.C.; four grandchildren, Heath, Hunter, Heather and Spencer Dickerson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; also surviving is her former husband and friend, John E. Dickerson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the chapel of Harry T. SReid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
