Obituary
Ovidio Castillo, Jr., age 69, of Jennings, FL. passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home following a brief illness.
Memorial services were held on Friday, June 3, 2016 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL.
Mr. Castillo was born in Brownsville, Texas on July 13, 1946 to the late Ovidio and Esther Torres Castillo. As a young man he entered the United States Army and served his country for the next 27 years. Castillo was the recipient of numerous service medals that include a Purple Heart, Silver and Bronze Stars, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and many more service ribbons. He was a true soldier that retired with the highest of recommendations.
Married for 47 years, Mr. Castillo is survived by his wife, Maria Castillo, Jennings, FL.; one son, Ovidio Castillo, III, Jennings, FL.; one daughter, Elizabeth Castillo of Texas; his brother, Jose Castillo, Jasper, FL.; his daughter-in-law, Norma Castillo ; his son-in-law, Juan Muniz; four granddaughters, three grandsons and three great great-grandsons.
