Owen Willard "Rusty" Fennell, Jr., age 76, of Jennings, FL. passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022. He had prepared for this day for a long time by word and deed.

Rusty was a native of Hamilton County, FL. born on September 14, 1944 to the late Owen Sr. and Sue Alice Young Fennell. He was a graduate of Jasper High School. Rusty fell hard for and married his sweetheart Vicki Lynn (Goolsby). Rusty and Vicki moved away to Tennessee where he was Vice President at Stewart Lumber Company until he retired and moved back to Hamilton County. It was during that absence however that Rusty truly became a servant for the Lord. He was blessed to share his ministry with his family and they all provided a wonderful service to a great number of under privileged children in Tennessee. Upon returning to Jennings, Rusty became involved in the community again. He filled the pulpit for a number of Pastors before accepting the call to Pastor at Jennings Missionary Baptist Church where he had so long ago been introduced to the Lord. His health declined but his faith never failed.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Vicki Lynn Goolsby Fennell; his two daughters and sons-in-laws, Vanessa and Fred Wilson and Debbie and Joe "Tiger" Tubbs, all of Hendersonville, TN.; his sister, Lynda Fennell Owens and her husband Billy of Tallahassee, FL.; two grandchildren, Tyler Wesley and wife Corie Tubbs and Rhianna Lee Wilson and one great grandchild on the way Charleston Ann Tubbs.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, FL.

There will be no formal visitation.
