Reat Elbert Deas, age 72, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Reat was born April 9, 1938 to the late Dave and Lillie B. Sills Deas in Hamilton County, FL. He was a retired truck driver. Reat moved to Live Oak from the Tampa area some 16 years ago. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Deas and two children, Charles Deas and Terri Renee Deas.
Survivors include his faithful companion of 26 years, Jean Johns;one son, William Deas of Texas; three daughters, Tonnie Rebecca Deas and Angela Roberts both of Lake Park, GA., and Shawnda Childs, Live Oak, FL.; one brother, Merdick Allen Deas, of South Carolina; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Jan. 6th at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery near Jennings.
