Richard Fountain, age 64, of Live Oak, FL. passed away on February 3, 2019 at Surrey Place in Live Oak, FL.

Richard was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 5, 1954. At age 18 he joined up with the United States Air Force. Following his days in service Richard worked as a truck driver. His mother recalls how talented he was and how much he enjoyed photography and painting. In 2002 Richard fell ill with cancer and due to unforeseen complications in surgery he ended up with some life-long debilitating injuries and suffered many long days in pain. His mother took care of him and he took care of her at home until they both decided it was time to go to the nursing home where they were roommates. Ms. Frances recalls some really tough times in their lives but will always cherish the time they had together. Richard was preceded by a sister, Doris Vannoy and his father, S.A. Fountain.

He is survived by one son, Ricky Fountain; his mother, Frances Hunter and a brother, Sammy Fountain.

Per his request, Richard was cremated and will be buried at Hebron Cemetery at a later date.
