Riley John “Johnny” Huchingson passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 9, 2026.
Johnny was born on August 3, 1962, in Largo, Florida, to the late Stafford Huchingson and Doris Johnson. A true Floridan at heart Johnny loved anything that involved the water - whether it was fishing on the Gulf or spending peaceful days out on the river. He was happiest surrounded by family, friends, and the people he loved most. Johnny especially loved his mama dearly, and the bond they shared was something he carried with him throughout his life.
When he wasn’t on the water, Johnny enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his beloved dogs, especially his favorite companion, Chuck. He was a devoted family man who loved his children deeply and treated his stepchildren as if they were his own. On February 24, 2012, he married the love of his life, Denise, and together they shared 14 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, family gatherings, and cherished moments with their grandchildren.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Johnson and Stafford Huchingson; his siblings, Carol Johnson and Cherie Miller; and his son, Jonathan Huchingson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Huchingson; his brother, Bryan Huchingson; his children, Brandi Monde and Courtney Kulczyk; his stepchildren, Ashley Tanner, Chana Himle, Melinda Green, Michael Stolarik Jr., Tara Stainton, and Desireè Stolarik; his grandchildren, Madisyn Huchingson, Hali Brundage, Kennedy Best, Amelia Monde, and Vyncent Brundage; and his step-grandchildren, Kimberly Tanner, Juliana Monde, Elissa Miller, Jordan Miller, Caleb Woods, Austan Cravens, Aryana Lindstrom, Amber Lague, Gracie Stolarik, Maxwell Stainton, Breña Stainton, Mia Padgett, and Lilly Padgett.
Johnny’s family will hold a Celebration of Life for family and friends on Saturday, May 16th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his free spirit, and the joy he found in the simple things in life.
