Riley W. Waters, age 80, a lifetime resident of Jasper, FL. passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. following a brief illness. Riley was born on March 4, 1932 to the late Boswell and Clydia Combass Waters. He drove a truck for several years but was severely injured in a wreak that almost took his life. He was involved in many projects over the years including a one-time booming skating rink business which included several portable roller rinks. In addition to the roller rinks he co-owned and operated with his wife the H & F Restaurant and Waters Trailer Park. Mr. Waters was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Waters.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Maureen Williams Waters; two sons, Wendell Waters (Donna) and Wayne Waters; a daughter, Wyonas Cribbs, all of Jasper, FL.; two brothers, Lavern Waters (Ann), Lakeland, FL. and Archie Waters (Annelle), Jasper, FL.; two sisters, Marilyn Carmichael (Lamar), Alachua, FL. and Susie Pierce (Jim), Lakeland, FL.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 16, 2012 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, FL. Interment followed at Corinth Cemetery near Jasper.
